About
In a small village in the district of Beawar, talented Artisans produce a
special vegetable tanned leather that is as eco-friendly as it is beautiful.
Today, their business is providing them with a stable livelihood–but their
situation was once very different. With no access to a growing marketplace,
opportunities were very limited for them. Then, they connected with Noonday’s
Artisan Business Partners, who sat with the villagers to understand their work
process and pain points.
The leader of the Artisans, a man named Chetan, helped the business
leaders understand the leather tanning process and began supplying them with
high-quality leather. And now, thanks to orders from Noonday customers, the
Artisans can feel secure in their livelihoods. Their children are attending
school regularly, and they have health insurance benefits that give them the
confidence that they can provide the best for their families.
