A Note from Jessica + Liz
The Giving Club is one way we live it out — together.
In 2010, Jessica met an artisan named Jalia in Uganda. In 2008, Liz moved to Uganda and started mentoring young women at Cornerstone Leadership Academy. We saw what happens when a child gets to stay in school — and what happens when she doesn't. We've watched these scholars grow up. We've sat at their kitchen tables, danced at their graduations, held their babies.
For years, we've quietly funded these scholarships personally and through Noonday. Now we want to do this with you. Because the truth is — we can do so much more together than we ever could alone.
"In Uganda, fewer than 25% of children make it from primary school to secondary school. Nearly half of school-aged kids never see the inside of a classroom. And girls are the first to be pulled out when families can't afford fees."

After her father's abandonment left her family homeless, Sham's mother found work with Noonday's artisan partner in Uganda. That job meant stability. That stability meant Sham could stay in school. After ten years on the scholarship program, Sham is completing her high school education — and dreaming about what comes next.

Where exactly does my money go?
Every gift goes into one pool that funds scholarships for students in Uganda — both K–12 and university. Pure Charity handles all funds with full transparency. Pure Charity takes a 5% processing fee, and the rest goes straight to student scholarships. There is no Noonday overhead taken from your gift.
Is this part of my Noonday account?
No. The Giving Club is a separate community. You don't need to be a Noonday customer to join — though many of our members are.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. All gifts are tax-deductible through Pure Charity, our nonprofit partner. You'll receive a receipt for tax purposes.
How is this different from a one-time donation?
While one-time donations are also accepted and appreciated, recurring gifts give us something we can count on. They mean we can commit to scholars for the long term — not just one school year, but every year ahead.
Can I cancel or change my giving level?
Yes, anytime. You can pause, change your tier, or cancel from your member dashboard. No questions asked.
What if we raise more than $30,000?
Any funds raised beyond our $30,000 goal will first be distributed among college scholars to help cover second-year college-related expenses. Once those needs are fully funded, additional funds will be saved to support future scholars.
What happens after I join?
Once you join, you'll be welcomed into the Noonday Collective community and receive ongoing updates about the scholars you're supporting, stories from Uganda, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content from Jess and Liz.
