The Marta Dress is named for Marta who lives in one of the Salvadoran regions with the highest levels of violence against women and children. For Marta, this violence was very real. Yet today, Marta is no longer afraid, but an agent of change in her community. She feels free, capable, and valuable. With contagious joy and determination, she helps other women in their process of healing from violence.

What began as a fun, creative idea for an awareness campaign has transformed into a global movement to end human trafficking. For the 31 days of December, justice advocates from all over the world dress to impress, using their creativity and voices to bring attention to the problem of human trafficking and our commitment to end it. But Dressember is more than dress-up.
Behind the fun, fashion and fighting for freedom is a tight-knit community of like-minded, well dressed, passionate advocates for justice who will stop at nothing to build a future of safety and freedom for everyone. Because together, we can do more. Since its founding in 2013, Dressember has rallied 200,000 supporters and raised over $20 million for global anti-trafficking work.
From the beginning, the funds raised by Dressember advocates have supported International Justice Mission’s efforts to protect people in poverty from violence. As one of the largest and most influential anti-trafficking organizations in the world, IJM ensures that every dollar raised goes as far as possible to help protect people from trafficking and partner with survivors on their journey of healing and restoration.
